| An
important part of the legacy of this country is the intellectual
foundation which inspired the leaders of the American Revolution to
create an innovative country. Countless books have been written
about the "founding fathers" and the many issues and theories which they
debated as they struggled with the challenge of designing a completely
new system of government. Some are revisionist in nature - with
the bias of the author driving the selective use of facts and
assumptions in support of a modern agenda. That is a very
different matter than examining the original arguments in their own
context, and exploring how such ideas may still be very timely and
relevant to our modern challenges. |
| The
new book by radio talk show host Mark Levin (The Mark Levin Show),
"Liberty and Tyranny", is an unapologetic defense of conservative
principles, but it isn't simply pushing a modern agenda by the author.
It is a serious reflection on the intellectual foundation of this
country. |

Mark Levin about his new book.

| April
21, 2009 update - It wasn't long ago, before this book was published,
that Mark Levin was encouraging listeners to reserve copies in advance.
That was before and soon after the election. At the time, there
was talk about initially printing 200,000 copies. It's hard to
predict the demand for such a book in advance.
At last word, approximately 900,000 copies have been sold. It has
been at the top of the bestseller lists for weeks - even though many in
the liberal news media have avoided any mention of it. |
| If
you haven't bought a copy yet, you should do so, and read it - and
encourage friends and family to do so. |
