This page links to conservative and Republican websites in New York.   Explanation below.

These initial reference lists will grow and be adapted into custom search tools for quick research across such websites on any topic.  Suggestions are welcome

Tea Party unity convention in Las Vegas in October 2010.  Local leadership, national impact. www.nationalteapartyconvention.com  Organized by Tea Party Nation
July 11, 2010 - Dems hope voters remain in Empire State of mind - Washington outsiders??
July 5, 2010 - NY Rep. Rangel stumbles after reaching top
June 15, 2010 - Residents get 6 votes each in suburban NY election
February 4-6, 2010 - Did you miss the first National Tea Party Convention in Nashville?  If so, links to coverage of the event are shared at the above.  Sarah Palin was the featured keynote speaker at this event arranged by Tea Party Nation .
June 3, 2010 - NY GOP picks 2 potential Gillibrand challengers - Instead of rigging the primary in advance, New York voters will actually have choices among Republican candidates in September.
March 5, 2010 - Massa resigns under ethics cloud - Comment:  Memorable for his defiant support for the healthcare bill and creation of a single-payer system last fall.  "I will vote adamantly against the interests of my district if I actually think what I am doing is going to be helpful."  " I will vote against their opinion if I actually believe it will help them." - at the Netroots Nation convention in Pittsburgh in August
December 22, 2009 - No longer coy, Giuliani won't run for NY office
November 17, 2009 - Hoffman 'unconcedes' in NY 23 US House race - Comment:  Unlike Franken or Gore, he doesn't seem to have unleashed an onslaught of lawyers to change the election outcome.  He seems to just be waiting to see what the final count may be, even though Pelosi quickly swore in Owens.
November 4, 2009 - Hoffman 2010? - National Review Online
November 1, 2009 - GOP ex-candidate endorses Democrat in NY race - Comment:  So much for the party loyalty which Michael Steele and Newt Gingrich were so worried about when they supported her.  We shall soon see whose endorsement carries more weight with voters in the NY 23rd district.

Perhaps Republican leaders will finally wake up before making such endorsements for 2010 primaries.  We have a similar problem in Illinois with the Mark Kirk campaign as a liberal Republican candidate for US Senator to replace Roland Burris.  Hopefully voters will not follow party leadership in their support of his campaign, in which case the February 2 primary in Illinois may help to change "the Chicago way" of deals among party leaders who are out of touch with voters and play power games with other people's money.

October 23, 2009 - Sarah Palin has endorsed Doug Hoffman on her Facebook page.
October 18, 2009 - NY House race seen as test for GOP, Obama - Comment:  The Republican Party may lose this normally secure House seat (NY 23rd District) because of the controversial candidate it selected.  One can only hope that the independent Republican, Doug Hoffman, will win or finish second as a warning shot across the bow of the Republican Party leadership nationally prior to the more vital 2010 elections.  See the Michelle Malkin blog entry of October 16 about this race, as well as the guest post by Doug Hoffman about his candidacy.

The Republican Party has supported a controversial candidate for NY 23rd, Dede Scozzafava.  This has attracted strong protests from many conservatives, such as these posts as just a few examples:

bullet Red County blog by Keli Carender (one of the original Tea Party organizers in WA)
bulletMichelle Malkin blog - Withdraw
bulletRed State - Dede should withdraw
bulletWashington Examiner editorial - withdraw
bulletWashington Times blog post - withdraw

A key point to note is that many of these critics are not from NY 23rd - just like her RNC supporters.  It is really up to the voters of NY 23rd to figure this race out, but it will be symbolic for 2010 candidates.

Friend of ACORN?  Gillibrand was 1 of only 7 Senators who voted against cutting off funding to ACORN after the controversy exposed at www.BigGovernment.com and on Fox News. Dick Durbin and Roland Burris of Illinois were two of the others.  In any case, these cuts were just temporary - not permanent.
August 8, 2009 - NY's Gillibrand gets clearer path to 2010 election - Comment:  Democrats have already cut deals to avoid any real primary choice for voters.  What Republican will challenge her?

Freedom Friday Tea Party - Northport, NY April 3, 2009 - 4pm
New York "Chicago Tea Party" event - Saturday, 2/28.  See our Chicago photos and national news reports, videos, and event links for more information.  This event reportedly attracted around 300 New Yorkers even though it was just set up within three days by social networking among local volunteers.
The Tax Day Tea Party website listed events associated with the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition sponsors, who supported the organization of most of the first Chicago Tea Party protest events on February 27.  New sponsors include American Solutions (ties to Newt Gingrich) and other groups.  Newt Gingrich spoke at the New York City Tax Day Tea Party, and on Fox News about it.
Tea Party protests were also organized with FreedomWorks in many cities on various dates.
American Family Association has also set up a new website - TEA - Taxed Enough Already - which lists over 1000 local "Tea Party" protest organizers nationwide.  This was followed by another new website for their July 4 Tea Party protest plans - www.TeaPartyDay.com
Another source of information about Tea Party protests and other local initiatives or contacts in many states can be found through the "Patriotic Resistance" - http://www.resistnet.com .

The purpose of these tools is to make it easier for conservatives to find what their elected officials, political peer groups, and commentators are saying and doing on topics of interest to them at the time.

This will be similar to the Search: Americas tools created at www.ShortListNews.com , which make it easy to search across many economic development or chamber of commerce websites, such as to find timely information about the local business investment climate as shared by these promotional groups.  There are also more comprehensive state economic development directories at www.gdi-solutions.com

There are also similar search tools for research across the websites of many professional services related to capital investment projects which create or save jobs in new or existing business locations.
